About Us

The Free Spirits Art is a multi-media art business founded by Peyton McElvy (me!).

I am a non-binary, pansexual artist from Fredericksburg, VA. My pronouns are He, She, or They. (I am not particular.)

Though I have dreamed of & pursued the art business since I was very young, my work was truly born when I started up my Instagram page, @thefreespiritsart, in 2018. Then in 2019, I set up my shop on Etsy to begin selling. All throughout then and now, I have been a vendor in multiple in-person events and local pop-ups.

My art has gone through many evolutions of style, and what I excel most in now is mainly cultural or tribal related, abstract, boho aesthetics, and finely detailed pieces.

Most importantly, I use my talents to create works that promote unity in diversity and acceptance through art. I openly talk about subjects pertaining to mental health (and my personal struggles in it), human rights (NOT politics), self-love, and community.

So THANK YOU for joining me and my journey! I hope at the very least to inspire you to express yourself freely and move to the beat of your own drum.

Vision

A community of people that find patience & acceptance in humanity, feel comfortable expressing themselves freely, respect nature, and that celebrate & respect differences. I hope to inspire an environment that ripples out into the rest of the world.
